Children’s Art Parade

Help us kick off Arts Affair by joining the Children’s Art Parade from Fulwood Park to the festival grounds. In honor of our beloved Syd Blackmarr, this year’s parade theme is Celebrate Syd, Celebrate Art! Children are encouraged to create art in all its forms to help us celebrate Syd’s lifelong mission to make the arts accessible to all. No registration is required, simply show up! 

We encourage all signage to be made by kids. Let their talents shine! We ask that any wheels be nonmotorized but please feel free to bring decorated bikes, wagons, scooters, and strollers.  Parents and guardians are welcome to walk with their children.

The parade will start at 9:30 am at the corner of 8th Street and Fulwood Park with the lineup beginning at 9:00. We plan to arrive at The Syd Blackmarr Arts Center for the start of the festival at 10:00 am.
